More than 2000 years ago, a child was born in a little town called Bethlehem. Matthew 1:21-"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins"  This child would soon grow up to perform such miracles as healing the sick, raising the dead and turning water into wine, just to name a few.  Jesus knew his purpose here on Earth was to do his Father's will. John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"  Our Savior had to carry a cross up a cruel hill called Mt. Calvary.  He was then placed on this cross between two thieves and was crucified.  When he died, he was placed in a borrowed tomb.  Three days later, there was good news. Matthew 28:6-7 - "He is not here: For he is risen, as he said.  Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  And go quickly, and tell the disiples that he is risen from the dead".  Jesus is still alive today, and one day he will return to gather his children at the sound of a mighty trumpet and take them home to be with the Father for eternity.  The only way to go back home with Jesus when he returns is to admit your sins and ask the Lord to take you as one of his children and to forgive you of your sins. Mark 16:16 - "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" The members of Arise believe this, and are prepared to go out and spread the his Holy word through song.  Please keep us in your prayers as we carry this message from person to person.
